The detailed design process of speed reducer:

1.Design raw materials and data

 (1). Types, specifications, speed, power (or torque), starting characteristics, short-term overload capacity, moment of inertia of the prime mover, etc.

 (2). Type, specification, use, speed, power (or torque) of working machinery. Working system: constant load or variable load, load diagram of variable load; start-up, brake and short-term overload torque, starting frequency; impact and vibration degree, etc.

 (3). The connection mode between the prime mover and the gear reducer, whether the axle extension has radial force and axial force.

 (4). Installation type (relative position of gear reducer and prime mover, working machine, vertical type,***).

 (5). Transmission ratio and its allowable error.

 (6). Requirements for size and weight.

 (7). Requirements for service life, safety and reliability.

 (8). Environmental conditions such as ambient temperature, dust concentration, air velocity and acidity and alkalinity; lubrication and cooling conditions (whether there is circulating water or lubrication station) and restrictions on vibration and noise.

 (9). Requirements for operation and control.

 (10). Material, blank, source and stock of standard parts.

 (11). Manufacturing capacity of manufacturing plants.

 (12). Requirements for batch size, cost and price.

 (13), Delivery deadline.

The first four items mentioned above are necessary, and other aspects can be designed according to the conventional design, such as the design life is generally! "Years. When used in important occasions, the reliability should be higher.

2. Selection of Types and Installation Types of Gearboxes

3. Preliminary determination of process methods and parameters

Selection of performance level, preliminary determination of gear and main parts of the material, heat treatment process, finishing methods, lubrication methods and lubricants.

4. Determining Drive Series

According to the total transmission ratio, the series of transmission and the transmission ratio at all levels are determined.

5. Preliminary Geometric Parameters

Initial calculation of center distance (or pitch diameter), modulus and other geometric parameters of gear transmission.

6. Overall Scheme Design

The structure of the gearbox, the size of the shaft, the span and the bearing type are determined.

7. Check

Check the strength of loaded parts such as gears, shafts and keys, and calculate the life of bearings.

8. Calculation of Lubrication and Cooling

9. Appendix for Determining Reducer

10. Determining the Carburizing Depth of Gears

If necessary, the process data such as tooth profile and tooth profile modification should be calculated.

11. Drawing Construction Drawings

Relevant national and industrial standards should be implemented in the design.
